Did they actually give you a discount for ABS brakes?

When I was working for that REALLY BIG INSURANCE COMPANY it had its policyholders pissed because, despite the sales claims made by auto dealers, there was no evidence that ABS brakes made a car less likely to be in an accident or reduce the damage once it was. (Essentially ABS brakes allow a car to make an emergency (panic) stop in a straight line; they do nothing to shorten the stopping distance and can actually lengthen the stopping distance if the driver uses them incorrectly and attempts to "pump" the brakes.)

Of course the biggest piece of safety equipment in any car is the driver and that's really what your rates are reflecting.
