We got Kieran Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) SuperNova & two padded mats for his 5th birthday thanks to an awesome deal out of Chino of all places. The title and cut tags are part of the hilarious instructions with the mats, along with "Please do not jump strongly, that may bring troubles to the other person."

He loves it, instant hit and we have to enforce playing limits. For those familiar with DDR scoring, on his second try this morning he's already passed 400 in a round a few times and routinely scores in the 390s. My sorry uncoordinated huge feet can't pass the 420s yet.

Finally, the all-weather cure to insane amounts of 5-year-old energy & graduate school butt all at once!

Fun! There's a karaoke mode on my Clavinova Kieran's been singing to for a while or I would have considered it for our PS2 ;)

This is Kieran's first besides the games on kids' websites, we're all hooked! Any mode besides beginner kicks all our butts for now but dancing to the actual videos for Video Killed the Radio Star & Let's Dance (Bowie) resulted in my count going up in the high 430s (actual score is based on a lot of quality & sequence variables we can't quite figure out yet) and beating my husband ;)
