alive but barely. kieran doesn't have a uti, but his fever soared to 104.1 and after much testing the dr concluded it wasn't any sort of infection but a virus. this virus has proceeded to kick our asses all weekend with constant screaming, refusing to eat, and barely getting enough to drink to stay in the moderately dehydrated range instead of severe. sleep nonexistant, about 2 hours at a time.. and we thought we had it bad last week with just teething.
scary how quickly functioning fades, basic grammar being among the first to go with sentences now consisting of 'drugs on the thingie my side bed' meaning 'the tylenol is on the nightstand on my side of the bed'. not sure which is worse, the fact that we both are saying things like this or that we understand what the other one means when we do. too much of an effort to hit the shift key and a letter to capitalize. a shower is too much work. even this typing is taking way too much thought, and i know i'll look back and laugh about it later but for now i just want to sleep for a few days and have kieran not scream.
