ahhh weekend
Nov. 5th, 2004 06:45 pmSomehow this week flew by awfully fast, and tonight it was time for me to place the preschool's Scholastic order for the month. Remember those from school? I used to live for the handouts from the teacher to paw through and pick out the books I wanted. I remember the SeeSaw club from 1st grade, our preschool participates in 3 of their clubs since there's a range of ages plus a lot of the class has older siblings.
We ordered 76 books & book packages (my guesstimate is close to 100 individual books), including 7 books for the class library, and my holiday surprise for the class: a book & gift certificate for each kid to pick a $1.95 book out on a future order. The teacher says each class tries to use up the bonus points during the school year, but we had a balance of 2500 points from the start! Both our orders have been over $200 so we're still racking them up too. My buddy at the school ended up dropping out, so I've taken over her job as librarian in addition to coordinating the class book order since there's no one left on the waiting list. My new buddy is awesome, I've always liked her and she's very reliable and responsible so the Tuesday morning dropoff stress has vanished for me.
My ballot was counted yesterday & I'm no longer angsty about that as a result. Now it's time for Ghirardelli hot chocolate and trying to entertain a very wild Kieran!
