I had the most surreal dreams last night, one featured me being a ghostlike presence talking with my friends in Wales & the other featured almost everyone I knew from my old summer camp.

I ended up calling Jen (whom I met there) in Wales at 5 am to see how everything is going with the new baby as a result since I wasn't going back to sleep anyway. It turned out to be the perfect time since Cerys had just gone down for an afternoon nap, and it was wonderful to talk for almost an hour even though it was insanely early for me.

I also will remember this as one of our best phone conversations. Talking about the insanity (nothing sacred, we hit it all) the first two weeks of having a child brings to your life with your best friend who finally understands it for herself makes a 14 year connection even closer.

I felt disconnected to a lot of old friends/cousins when I had a baby. I just felt that they couldn't understand me anymore...that we were in two different worlds.

Now most of them have their own babies and I'm starting to feel connected again.

Anyway....I'm glad you had such a nice phone conversation. That's cool that your dream inspired/prompted it.

I've always been in my own little world even before I had Kieran, so I'm used to that disconnect ;) I've gotten pretty good over the years at telling which dreams are nudging me along to do something, it's definitely helpful!
