Final perspective
Mar. 14th, 2005 11:52 amI've spent a fair amount of time over the weekend studying for my final, which starts at 8:30 and drags on until 10:20 tonight despite the protests of everyone in class. Every other evening degree class where I've had an actual test agreed to start it earlier than scheduled, but that isn't the case for us. I've decided I don't care if I get a 3.9 and am not stressing about it. My cumulative GPA will still be a 3.9something so what difference does it make?
We made time for a study break.
Just two weekends ago the cherry trees in the quad weren't even close to blooming, now the petals are already falling off them! The picture to the left was taken on March 28th last year, the one on the right/bottom yesterday. There were insane numbers of people packed in the quad so we don't have many good shots without the masses joining us, but it was fun to see two couples decked out in wedding attire trying to locate people-free spots for their portraits.

Over the weekend, Kieran learned to enter our phone number on a kid's calculator, then clear it and enter in 1 (clear) 2 (clear) 3 (clear)... 109 (clear). He needed help with 110+, which makes sense since the concept of 100 for him includes a 10 then a third decimal. This morning he got up to the 130s & still looked skeptical that 133 (not 1033) was 'one hunned thirtee three', so we called it quits and went outside for an hour to play with bubbles, the sandbox and water the flowers since the daffodils were looking droopy. I can't remember ever having to water bulb beds in spring here before...
