Change of plans

twilight33Enough has changed over the past week that I can safely say this is no longer an option.
The main reason is my flexible work arrangement has changed to less malleable; I'll be working 70-75% time starting in April. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can hold out on working full time until Kieran starts kindergarten in fall 07, but that may change too. My department is wonderful with alternative working schedules, and the majority of my increased hours will be from home, but there is reality & sanity to consider. I would easily lose my grip on one or both of those while adding grad school to the equation considering how much this quarter's workload annoyed me balanced with my current work hours.
Surprisingly, I'm not upset about it. It could be because this was such a recent concept in the general long range plan, or because my main goal has always been to finish the BA I should have gotten a decade ago. If it's meant to work out in the future, it will.
