What word is there to describe the feeling you get when you see a more recent picture and realize a killer not only lived a mile and a half from your house but used to deliver pizza to your doorstep before you decided to stop being such a lazyass and pick it up yourself?

but, from a purely statistical point of view, your odds of being the victim of random violence in America are incredibly low (on the other hand you are often likley to be killed by someone you know, especially if you are a woman: at least three women are killed each day by an intimate partner—husband, boyfriend, or ex).

Unfortunately you cannot hide from random violence—after all, it is random and therefore unpredictable.

So I guess my answer would be, "wow." And I guess my advice would be to be brave and keep ordering those pizzas—just remember to tip very well.

I have no fear, just some surreal NIMBYism.

Kieran loves going to pick up the pizza to see where it's made that we haven't gotten delivery in a long time. I think we'll keep it that way.

I'd at least hope security was armed there though. The whole situation is just sickening, as is blame scapegoating on anything or anyone except the killer himself.
