Road Trip!
Jul. 1st, 2003 05:10 pmIt took a full month, but our vacation requests were finally approved so it's official: We get to visit my homeland & introduce Kieran to the wonders of everything from summertime tomato truck splatloads alongside I5 to my beach.
I have no idea how we're going to pull off all the visiting we'll need to do in a limited amount of time (curse the constraints of school & payroll deadlines), but we will find a way.
Strange thing, now when I think of Sacramento I think of several friends & my aunt who lives nearby. I've spent the last hour jotting down plans and the fact my father is there didn't dawn on me until just now. No worries, no loss, no guilt. Just wish it hadn't taken me 15 years to get to this point.
