Random ramblings
Aug. 11th, 2003 10:55 amForgot to mention I got an 87.5% on the French midterm I thought I bombed. I don't get the actual test back since they use the same one for all distance learning students, so tomorrow I'm going to go have a look to see if my prof appeared to grade on a curve or something. There is just no way I did that well on it.
Kieran did very well at his first birthday party for a friend over the weekend, he happily devoured watermelon & carrot cake with the nuts carefully picked out. I was extremely jealous of their lush green, weed-free lawn, but upon reflection of what their water bill must have been for the past few months thought better of it.
Tea with
northwardbound & husband was fantastic, especially since Kieran decided to sleep the entire time we were stuffing ourselves full of food. Rare & precious are the times when we can enjoy a meal that doesn't involve dodging an inquisitive baby! We got to see pictures of her sister's wedding and the dress that she wore as MaOH. I don't understand what happened to Jessica McClintock, she used to design very flattering formals and this one just... wasn't. My poor friend!
It's payday at work and surprisingly quiet, I suspect a lot of people are out on vacation but I'm enjoying it. Very odd to realize I just have 3 classes left after tonight (and the last one is our final) then I'm done with summer quarter. We postponed our CA trip until spring next year since we discovered Kieran doesn't do well in the heat (what were we thinking with going to Sacramento in late August?). We still are taking the time off & planning on a local getaway with some Canadian shopping instead.
So, yeah. Not much, but there's my life!
