Running to stand still
Apr. 25th, 2004 08:52 pmI am rather amused at the fact that I drove to multiple locations ranging from Shoreline to Greenwood to take advantage of Earth Day discounts over the weekend.
The goods include a $5 Weed Hound (normally $20) to get the damned dandelions, a free bottle of soap insecticide (normally $8) for the roses, and a free (after rebate) 25 lb bag of natural lawn fertilizer to use next month. With all that, the food composters (happily digesting our scraps, some yard waste & shredded junk mail), using cloth diapers for over a year and gradually switching to non-toxic cleaning products inside, I'm feeling pretty crunchy.
Once again, we're all sick this weekend. Ryan is hit the worst, Kieran is doing fairly well and it's only just beginning with a sore throat for me after a fever a few days ago. I can't figure out why we have been constantly getting sick the past few months when we were healthy all winter, are eating better food & the house is significantly cleaner than it was at this time last year. Highly annoying.
More change is on the horizon, resulting in less stress for us all. Yay!
