The beef brisket dinner tonight was damned good with a glaze including grape jelly, wine & curry. Sounds bizarre, but I'm finding I like my improv recipes better than the regular ones (supposed to be apple jelly) lately. I toasted work with the leftover wine ;)

Another improv recipe is one that calls for vanilla pudding & whipped cream blended together then spread in between layers of graham crackers, then top it with chocolate frosting & stick it in the fridge for 8 hours. I turned that one into chocolate pudding & chocolate graham crackers and named it the Chocoblob (I don't think I let the pudding set long enough before layering it). It's surprisingly rich, and we've decided not to make the recipe the way we're supposed to because we'd probably plow through the whole pan in one sitting if it was vanilla.

Somewhere in my class reading it was noted that the more years you are online, the more hours in a day you spend on the internet. Considering I've been online 11 years, this statement frightened me. I don't think I'm anywhere near the marathon IRC days of yesteryear though, life today simply doesn't allow for that. I cut out a huge segment of my online life last week, and am finding myself happier as the days go by & I'm spending more time digging out our overgrown front & backyards. Maybe I am a neo-Luddite in disguise after all.
