GO go go go for G!

Kieran is so lucky that one of my favorite bands will be releasing a CD/DVD of alphabet songs soon (click on the video button). It's with a sigh of resignation I acknowledge that they've sold out big time, but the material sounds awesome from the online clips and the full ones I've heard on Playhouse Disney so far. Kieran's first word was 'mop' from the No! album and he serenades us nightly with 'You're notta bossa me now!' from "Malcolm in the Middle" reruns. Add that to Grandma and her sisters singing along with 'Istanbul (Not Constantinople)' and we've got 3 generations hooked on They Might Be Giants. I consider that much better than phonics!

I know Kieran won't care so much about my other February favorite on the horizon, but maybe we can strike a compromise with listening time. Then again, maybe not & I'll listen to mine at work...
