A hot commodity

It's not often I inflate my own ego, but I have to wonder considering how Friday went when this arrived in my inbox this morning:

The Graduate Admissions Office has completed the initial evaluation of your application and it has been determined that you meet the basic entrance requirements of the Graduate School. Therefore, your application has been forwarded to your intended program area for final review.

You may contact the academic department concerning your application status or you may track the progress of your application by accessing your personal portal page.

I'm not bitter towards my alma mater for all the months of limbo compared to this... noooo... not at all...
