Edit mode always on?

Between Saddam, the 3,000 soldier death toll (God forbid we accurately report the Iraqi one) and now this it feels like I have to constantly monitor when we can watch the news and hide newspaper/online headlines from an inquisitive, sensitive (and reading) Kieran. I'm just glad we had advance notice about Saddam hanging sometime after 7pm that day, they did a breaking news interruption of Wheel of Fortune so we quickly clicked away and told Kieran the TV was broken again.

I certainly will not shelter him from the reality of the world we live in when he's old enough to handle and discuss these things, but it's feeling like way too much of a barrage for a 4.5 year old lately.
