He likes learning at school, but socializing is kind of iffy as the majority of the class turned 5 last fall & his 4th isn't until the 25th of this month. There's only one other boy within a month of his, the rest are 5+ months younger and it makes a difference at this age. I'm hopeful there will be a better balance in the fall.
Kieran's at what a call a non-anal Montessori. The name & methodology are not trademarked and there are loads of places are using it only for market appeal. At the same time, there are places that go way overboard and feel sterile. Regardless of what type of preschool you go with, visit several different ones in session to get a feel for them.
Check out the resources and see if the methodology feels like a good fit with Cole's personality and your home environment. There is a big Montessori store in Santa Rosa, take a field trip and see how he likes the materials :)
