I thought I was a relatively good writer, then this came along.

Wow. I wish I had had this resource as an undergrad, but am definitely glad I have it as a grad student because I am guilty of many things cited in here. It's free for all to use with appropriate credit, so I thought I'd share with my fellow student friends and/or anyone else interested.

OK, I'm stealing part of that...or, I mean, "borrowing"....

Nice resource and succintly put.

Of course, most students will not read it.....

Thanks for this!

I got a 'C' on a paper a few weeks ago just because I didn't understand the format the instructor wanted (that, and he viewed my essay in his e-mail client, which stripped my paper of all its footnotes... but we won't talk about that).

Yep, first year prof.

Although I've also been at this job for 4 1/2 years and my coworkers still do that all the time and then complain about the formatting of a Word document they're trying to view in Novell Groupwise. Including the ones I've reminded not to do that.

Your professor is a doofus, but just send him the file as a PDF—which is incredibly easy to do with a Mac..in... oh nevermind.
