Computer rebooted, lights off, work bag on shoulder.

Phone rings, I don't recognize the number, pick it up anyway.

IT guy, in sheepish voice: I may have spoken too soon...

FULL RECOVERY!

I am ticked that I can't take the 3rd off due to payroll deadlines because I want to sit around for 4 days not dealing with anybody other than household members after the roller coaster this week has been.

But congratulations! And, have you checked to see whether they have established more comprehenisve back up procedures?

Even better: I had my boss request a new shared drive this morning for this data, with modify access for 3 of us & read-only access for the managers.

This incident has made me realize they rely on me to be a sole source of information waaay too much and that is changing effective now.
