I'm going to die tomorrow.

No doubt about it.

It's currently 60 degrees, I'm wearing my fleece & am a happy camper.

24 hours from now I'll board a plane to AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WILL SOAR ABOVE THE CENTURY MARK AGAIN TODAY AND FRIDAY...WITH HEAT INDICES TOPPING OUT BETWEEN 105 AND 108 DEGREES. AND TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE... MORNING LOWS FRIDAY WILL NOT DROP BELOW 78 DEGREES IN THE ADVISORY AREA.

Yeehaw. Been nice knowing everyone.

Oh, to be you and to feel a little warmth and sunshine....

Maybe you should leave the fleece at home?

Light clothes, short sleeves, skirts and shorts if your comfortable in them, and stay away from hats with little copper rods sticking out of the top.

And liberal use of the shower and the hotel pool (take that suit).

But that's sledgehammer hot, so move slow, drink lots of icy cold beverages, and think cool thoughts.

You'll do well.

Good luck starting your Masters!! I've been in Texas in August...it is pretty awful. But AC is literally everywhere :) If you're able to limit your time spent outside (and in cars) you should be ok. And I pranced around in a swimsuit at a lake, and got no snide remarks about my paleness :)

I hope you do well without the boys, and that they cope well without you! Just think what a great homecoming you'll have!

It was a lake that allowed alcoholic beverages in some sections...I did prance *lol* much to the amusement of my friends. Gee, nice of Kieran to be kicking you out the door already *giggle* He'll be bored of Dad by the time you get back :)

I've been in Tucson in August - 120 Fahrenheit, baby! - and actually tried to rollerblade in that weather (my advice is don't). From that experience and from being in Rome during a mid-July heatwave with 100% humidity that started on Friday the 13th, I learned that supermarkets are the place to go! :D

Best of luck!!!

i hope you're having a great trip.

the nice thing about texas is it's not humid, so at night, when the sun goes down, it cools off.
