Strange awakenings

6 am.

Kieran, running into our bedroom with his usual boundless energy: Hi Mama, Hi Papa!

Us: *bleary groans* Good morning, sweetie.

K: *makes a fist and starts tapping us*

U: What are you doing, honey? We don't hit people.

K: No, it's not hitting. Come out in the living room, there's something I want to show you guys.

U: Ok sweetie *stumble out*

K: Ok, this is a rock *fist* this is paper *flat hand* and this is scissors *scissors* We go 1-2-3 then each pick one and then someone wins.

U: *bemused grins* you're right, but where did you learn that from? Preschool?

K: No, I learned it from a commercial.

This has us stumped, has anyone seen a roshambo commercial on the air recently?

Well, there was a Bud Light one, during the last Super Bowl, where one of the players actually throws a rock, and the Sierra Mist one, where the winner says that paper beat scissors because the latter rust; but those wouldn't teach him how to play the game properly, would they?

But then this July 26 blog post mentioned "a commercial that was for a show that would be airing soon. The show was on a sports channel. It was a Rock, Paper, Scissors championship!". Indeed, some further Google searches showed that Bud Light sponsored the 2007 competition which aired on ESPN - perhaps Kieran saw a commercial for a repeat of that show?

You know, after reading the entry, that does sound vaguely familiar from a few weeks back but not recently at all. It must have been like a virus in his brain, incubating then suddenly manifesting this morning lol

PS eye cream. Not so good for dark circles & disagree with their 'immediately' claim, but agree with the rest and a little goes a very long way.

Thanks! I've used one of their eye creams (a predecessor to this) and liked it, so I'll have to look for this one.

Take two, See if you can chat up a sales associate for a sample, also Macy's has a FGWP Lancome deal currently going on with apparent super bonus Friday & Saturday. I always time shopping with those for a free lipstick ;)
