Still alive

twilight33Yesterday was the first time I took more than an hour of sick leave for a dr. appt because I needed it for myself since my maternity leave back in June last year. I still showed up for an hour so everyone could see for themselves that I was pale & not with it so they wouldn't think I was flaking out to enjoy the weather (I wish). Not a bad track record! It's amazing how an afternoon in bed, a phone call from a friend with wonderful news & a Lush bath in the evening can make everything all better.
This is the first weekend we have absolutely nothing planned & nowhere to go besides Costco since sometime in May, and likely the last one we'll have to lounge around for a while in the future too. Kieran graduated from bottles to sippy cups overnight, much to my relief because I was beginning to wonder if he ever would, and is standing on his own for up to 30 seconds & walking around holding one of our hands sometimes. He is also being a picky little fart who won't eat his veggies, so I'm still trying to find ways to con him into eating them.
