Neighbors, assholes & dentists

twilight33The office move went fairly well, although much later on Friday than expected which resulted in me having to come in on Saturday to both unpack & get a report done. Yesterday was a payroll deadline that I anticipated being a high-volume load (it was) and I needed to have everything organized by then. The lack of window doesn't bother me & I have two new bettas to keep me company.
The rest of the people are moving in the space now and that isn't going so well. They have already whined & are generally more bitchy than my coworkers near the old cubicle. I have a feeling I'll be making use of my door a lot more often than planned, and am puzzled why the tech support guy who moved my computer rather good-naturedly on Friday is a raging asshole today.
Kieran had his first dental appointment this morning, which was quite entertaining. The only way to get him to open his mouth was to give him a new toothbrush while I sang the 'brusha brusha brusha' song (think of that commercial in Grease; I'm sure the staff thought I was insane, but part of being a parent is not caring what anyone else thinks). So far, so good, and his 2 year molars will probably come in about 6 months since all his other teeth have broken through already.
