I'm probably in big trouble with either of the big men upstairs (images of Jesus vs. Santa a la South Park come to mind) for what I did today.
Normally, I'm a really good girl who volunteers at her church every other week to help care for babies between the sitting up to barely walking stage. Despite my mom being down to visit for the weekend, I honored my previous committment and drove to church albeit a bit late since Kieran's schedule has gone completely out the window lately.
Parking in the church lots usually doesn't happen since I go to a really huge church, so I always head straight to a university and park there since it's free on Sundays. Unfortunately they just expanded the amount of space they claimed in the name of new building construction, and after being trapped along with 10 other cars (why they laid it out so there is only one narrow lane for both in and out is beyond me) for ten minutes and circling around for another 10 minutes, I did what any sensible person would do.
Give up & head straight to the Bon to pick up Frangos for Christmas presents to relatives before the afternoon rush kicked in.
I did call in and apologize to their voice mail, and am watching a cranky Kieran while my husband treats himself to his geek movie (Nemesis) this afternoon. Does that help make up for it? Or am I on my way to someplace warm with the help of a lump of coal?
