So much to remember again
Jun. 21st, 2004 11:48 amI'm finding myself reliving many memories from my own childhood as I race after Kieran in the heat.. only 770 miles north and still a half mile off I5 from where I raced around as a toddler. Airing out the house when the heat outside finally dies down enough after sunset, the smell of a storm on hot asphalt, rolling around on the lawn, kicking balls (Ryan's convinced Kieran is a lefty since he exclusively kicks with his left foot in addition to drawing/eating with his left hand), making mud puddles with the hose, determining that fine line between when metal slides are warm but bearable and hot enough to burn your butt off.
I had completely forgotten the sheer joy I used to welcome summer with each year until now.
These are the things my days & nights are made of, work & class (starting up again tomorrow) have become things I tolerate on the side.
