It was a home-to-drink end of the workweek, and somewhere in the middle of it echoes of this old INXS song came to mind. Then a nonlinear time moment unfolded (those happen a lot when music I haven't thought of in years pops up) where I saw me in college, me in the middle of a divorce & me here and now all at once.

There is much peace & understanding to be had in pizza & hard limeade.

That song is way more depressing when you consider what happened to the lead singer.

Of course the song is depressing; that's why the contrast from when I felt I was living it is so vivid to now. Peace & understanding definitely weren't there before.
