Money, money, money!
Apr. 9th, 2005 02:19 pmThis is what Kieran said as we were watching the Mariners game last night, and we were totally perplexed about what prompted that outburst.
"Yes honey, baseball is essentially all about money now, but how could you already know that?" was the best we could manage for a response.
Then I pulled my Nordies card out of hiding for some baby & bridal shower shopping today, and he pointed to it and happily said 'Money!'
I was floored. The MasterCard logo is on the ad screen during the fifth inning now, which was when he said it last night.
We rarely to never carry cash and debit almost everything, charging whatever gets us shopping points or a contribution to Kieran's 529. I remember learning about paper & coin money in second grade; he's already made the connection with plastic before 3 years. He learned to read & spell 'coffee' before his name, knows how to tell time on a digital clock, and identifies the difference between numbers in the hundreds & thousands.
We are in so much trouble.

Does he also watch The Apprentice? ;)
Date: 2005-04-09 10:46 pm (UTC)I also have to give you props for going back to school.. sounds like you're doing wonderfully. I happen to be doing the same thing this semester - I do my homework after Cole goes down for the night and somehow it all works out.
I always knew there was a reason I liked you!
Nora (another of Tim's CA friends)
*We* don't even watch The Apprentice, there's no explaining it!

Great to see you again, and way to go on doing the mom/work/school juggle too. Adding you to friends so you can see even more fun and madness, tell Spike hi for me, and take care :)
