This house has not been a happy place over the weekend. Take two sick (I left work early on Friday), grumpy & tired parents; one sick, hyper & cranky Kieran; add 4 boxes of tissue (we're working on a 5th) and confine everyone inside with no energy to do much of anything. It's seriously a miracle we haven't killed each other. We kicked ourselves out in the yard for a bit after the bipolar weather (will this cycle of sun/wind/pouring rain/repeat every 10 minutes to a few hours ever end?) let up this afternoon, and being bundled up in the fresh air did us all a lot of good.
I've been reading Tori Amos instead of Terry Eagleton because my brain can't comprehend more Oxford professorese right now. Between that and yapping for over two hours with some good friends on the phone, I've gotten some more views about subpar public education to think about.
