A song of peace
Sep. 11th, 2005 08:43 pmmy country's skies
are bluer than the ocean
and sunlight beams
on clover leaf and pine
but other lands
have sunlight too and clover
and skies are everywhere
as blue as mine
oh hear my song
oh god of all the nations
a song of peace
for their land and for mine
Edit: one of many versions of lyrics to the song Finlandia
In memory of 9/11. That horrible day made me question the sanity of having a child, yet Kieran still chose us loonies to come to shortly afterward. Nothing else in this world has been a greater reminder to me of hope for the future.
"Evil has a poison within itself that in the end destroys its own servants, but love, hope and faithfulness have the durability of truth and life on their side." - Earl Palmer, sr. pastor at UPC.
That's wonderful!

Date: 2005-09-12 10:37 am (UTC)He has grown into a young man now and has a life of his own. He appears happy and reasonably content. I think I can ask for no more. Andrew had us as his "couple of kooks" (David Bowie) just as Kieran has "us loonies" as you say.
I am sure as you watch Kieran grow, you will gather countless memories and store them for future rememberings.
I also feel poetry touches the soul, just as music does. There are a number of people who contribute poetry in LIve Journal and I often read and ponder on their musings. Unfortunately, I am a better reader of poetry than I would be a writer!
Sorry, I've rabbitted on a bit!
