Thus said our own university president (he looks much younger in person than pictures) at the first-ever reception tonight in honor of staff who are also alumni. He was speaking in reference to the vanity license plates that support scholarships since a new design will be released soon. One can only hope his clout will extend further to a decent dawg mascot as well.

It is the most gawd-awful thing--designed and owned by Nike, too, I understand (say is that a "Swoosh" in the Dawg's profile....).

You are correct. I have a windsock with the weasel that I hope to point out to Kieran as the commodified Dark Ages of the mascot in the future.
