Apr. 11th, 2003 01:24 pmIt appears I'll soon be working more than my current half-time shift... not that I don't already as a mom, but in reference to what I actually get paid to do.
At least, I'd better be working more hours soon. The director just informed me we're hiring 30 more people, and I'm stretched about as thin as I can go with our current count of 160. That's about the same number of employees as my slacker coworker manages payroll for full time, by the way. My replacement while I was out on maternity leave also managed to drag out my job into a full time position. I'm still not certain if they are examples of overwhelming ineptitude or if I'm the uberworker.
I guess this is a good thing, sort of. More money is always nice, but I'm not certain just how the time will be arranged. Must ponder that one for a while...
