Got it!

I didn't even have to ask for a raise, it's mine for the taking when I put together some documentation for it. Bureaucracy demands a defense for why what I do is considered more than the norm for the paperwork... easy enough.

My supervisor was stunned that despite her asking then repeating 'not even one thing?' of all levels of management here, they can't make any suggestions for improvement. My guess is if they say otherwise, they're afraid I'll go and leave them with the likes of the temp who had my job while I was on maternity leave ;) Whatever works, as much as I gripe I know I have it good here & I'm pleased that they apparently realize the same.
