Whew

I didn't know ahead of time that Saturday would involve a solid two and a half hours of my mom, my husband and me ripping the yard and various plants apart. As a result, a previously gigantic heather (front yard) and Christmas cactus (dining room table) have been transplanted and relocated to 7 new homes ranging from Bellingham to a coworker's office and both the front & backyard. The juniper (junifer!) bush & some blue thing (knowledgeable gardener, I am not) that were smashing the poor heather will now have a much better shot at filling out the space around several beautiful rocks that were so buried in the mess that we didn't know they were there.

Today brought the serendipitous combination of saving 51% off the grocery bill due to the Big Brother preferred savings card & coupons, and a handful of free resume paper for buying the nice matching envelopes. Everything goes in place tomorrow: mailing an application for a new job, telling my supervisor, and checking in with high-ranking references. For once in my life I feel I have a strong resume, but I'm struggling with the damned cover letter. I'll give it another shot with a 3am caffeinated writing session to see if that helps in the same way it does with my term papers. If you see/hear shit hitting the fan near Northgate tomorrow, that would be my fault.
