A bright start
Mar. 8th, 2004 03:03 pmI couldn't have picked a better day to pull everything together to state my career intentions and mail my job application off if I tried. No shitfest at work either, everyone was quite happy to be a reference with the exception of one manager who jokingly said 'No! I don't want to lose you!' to my request. My supervisor even agreed with me that this appeared to be a pretty good fit for all the training I've received.
I think all of them appreciated my honesty in saying that I'm not looking to leave in general. If this one position in this building doesn't work out, I'm happy to stay where I'm at since I have no desire to either work full time or on campus. If it does work out, I know I won't have sprung any surprises or burned bridges in the process. We shall see :)
