jakeaidan's description of his recent trip, it's now taking all self-restraint possible to keep from packing up Kieran and driving down to California to hit my beach with a sourdough bread bowl from Boudin full of clam chowder, then swinging by Beverages & More on my way back home. The overpriced State liquor store selection here just does not cut it.
Definitely time to travel this summer, I haven't been back to California since October of 2000 and we haven't been anywhere except WA since we got back from Europe in June 2001. My aunt & her partner recently bought a stunning house near Mt. Shasta that they'll move to in June, so we have the perfect overnight stop for a road trip as well. There is so much to introduce Kieran to down there, I can't wait :)
