I want just about more of everything along the lines of sleep & weekend time. We had a wonderful journey up north to spend Easter at my mom's house (Kieran's 3rd overnight trip now). Saturday consisted of visiting with one of her neighbors who has a multitude of grandchildren, thus plenty of toys for Kieran to play with. We ate our Easter dinner early and discovered that Costco ham is just as good as if not better than the extremely overpriced Honeybaked variety.
Sunday we got going very early so we would avoid the crowds for the tulip festival in Skagit Valley. We've already made the rounds of all the different places & fields in the past, and now we just head straight to RoozenGaarde. Luck smiled on us that Easter morning as we beat all the crowds, the paths in the gardens & fields weren't muddy, perfect blend of slightly overcast skies and sunbreaks for photos without too much squinting, and Kieran was very well behaved. A few pics to share are the three of us, Kieran on a frog, and some of the tulip fields.
On the way back we finally got to go in our first Krispy Kreme, although Kieran stayed in the car asleep with my mom while we experienced the donut goodness up close. We also had the good fortune to pass by and wave to
northwardbound and her husband in their gothmobile (we have the pollenmobile at the moment, yech) just before we got to the offramp back to my mom's house.
But now, back to grey cold skies & a typical teething Monday morning of crankiness. Woohoo!
