5 years old today!

It's beginning to dawn on me that he's never going to slow down, although I keep hoping.

5 years ago I worked up a sweat in labor. This morning I did again when I accidentially set my DDR dance mat to the hardest difficulty level for a song & Kieran had quite a laugh at me as I tried to keep up (and failed miserably).

I find myself strangely unaffected by this birthday. Maybe it's because he's already the size of a first grader?

Sometimes I think the mom needs to be told Happy Birthday when her kid has one (which is why I send my mom flowers on my birthday) - so, Happy Birthday!

Judging from my 21 year old boy, I'm not sure they ever slow down either. Maybe in 60 years?

Lovely picture - I have forgotten what those blue flowers are? I remember I used to think of them as Washington's version of bluebonnets. :)

You are correct, I'm fairly certain those are some type of lupine which is the same genus as bluebonnets. Second guess would be foxglove but I've never seen those in blues.

5 already! My how time flies! Speaking of which, you should see you sweet little flower girl, who is 16 and taller than me.

Kieran reminds me of my sister's kid, Nick. Bright as hell, does *not* fit into the molds, especially at school, and is taller than his mom (and about to top his dad as well) as he enters 7th grade.
