Happy Mother's Day to... me?!

twilight33Obviously I know I'm a mom and have for some time now, but the whole concept of Mother's Day now applying to me as well as my mom is somewhat baffling.
It's been a beautiful day, with the notable exception of the crappiest customer service I have encountered in my life to date while shopping at JCPenney. One should not have to be made to stand there for almost a half hour while two completely inept checkers and an equally inept floor manager can't figure out how to ring up a purchase using a coupon, a store gift card & a credit card to cover the difference. Even forgiving apparent stupidity, it was the total lack of an apology for taking so long & the floor manager's curt attitude at daring to be bothered that completely pissed me off and will be the focal point in a letter to the manager of the store. I do not plan on shopping there again, with the exception of their photo studio because the deals are just too good for us to pass up on a budget.
