So, my new contacts I received an hour ago have overcorrected my vision to somewhere between 20/15 & 20/10. I personally don't see the harm in having SUPERVISION, but my optometrist begs to differ. At least he was nice enough to let me wear them until my new ones (with a prescription decrease in both lenses by .50) come in next week. It'll suck adjusting back to normal vision then, but the improvement over my old scratched lenses will substantially help me with Capstone this week.

Speaking of, I'm kicking its ass.

Does that make you a supervisor? Or a supervisionary? :)

I have had 20/20 all my life but I've noticed recently that I can't read things closer than about 5 inches from my face any more. I've heard that can happen with age... *sigh*

Another bummer about getting older is that your eyes can get more dry - mine have been that way for a couple years now, to the extent that I can no longer wear contact lenses. I could never wear soft lenses as I couldn't see with them; too much astigmatism. I finally updated my glasses frames a couple years ago and am fortunately comfortable with how I look in glasses.

Good luck with Capstone btw.

I haven't asked my parents if they have this dry eye problem. They both have glaucoma (something I need to watch for!) and put drops in their eyes for that. My mom is looking at cataract surgery, which her mom had about the same age (8o-ish). Oddly enough my eyes are the driest in the morning when I first get up; I guess blinking throughout the day helps.
