"So, now that you've graduated, what will you do with all your spare time?"
I realized from the beginning that scrapbooking this strange journey that has been my fellowship & graduate education wouldn't work well because I am asked the same questions over & over about it that require far more narrative. The whole 'What?!? Are you from Texas? Are you moving to Texas? Why aren't you going to school here in Washington?' aspect of distance education is such a novelty for the present time that I have to document it so Kieran can have a good laugh by the time he's off to college.
It dawned on me that writing a little book would, in fact, be a good idea. I still don't understand how all of this happened because I was too busy making it through 13 classes and my internship between Fall 06 - Fall 07, so now I can sift through how I've documented everything and either make some sense of it or make it look like I have if I still can't figure it out.
Add the plethora of pictures I've taken along the way (95% haven't been seen by others yet) and voila: I am my own yearbook editor on Blurb, only this is going to be far more stunning than any of the tomes from junior & high school. I'm already excited about the cover layout alone.
