Turkey coma
Nov. 30th, 2003 11:22 amWe had ourselves a great time at my mom's house for Thanksgiving and should probably finish off the leftovers sometime tomorrow... but I doubt the pumpkin pie stands a chance beyond this afternoon. Kieran handled his first Black Friday well, although we just went to Fred Meyer at 7am. He loves free donut holes as much as the rest of the family & he scored some half-off shoes, but he was quite upset at the fact that he had to take them back off and sit in the shopping cart again.
We didn't really do all that much else since it was pouring and I'm still feeling rather bleh. As strange as it sounds, I'm avidly hoping that it is just the flu and not a relapse of sarcoidosis/Lofgren's syndrome. It's extremely unusual for me to be sick more than a few days & the constant fatigue is about the same, plus breathing just doesn't quite feel right. Weird diseases that no one else has ever heard of, let alone can spell or pronounce, suck.
Christmas is up & running regardless, we decorated the tree entirely with paper die-cut ornaments as Kieran can't be trusted yet around shiny metal & antique glass ornaments and metal hangers. He's surprisingly well behaved so far, apparently 'be nice to the tree' works better than 'be nice to the kitty'. Perhaps if the kitties were 7' tall he'd show them a bit more respect, we're still working on that one.
