twilight33Do not use the most fickle cake pan ever to try out a old favorite recipe (Kentucky butter cake... you do not want to know how much fat is in this thing) for a work potluck the night before said event.
Thank God for grocery store bakeries and the fact that I had the good sense to not tell a soul exactly what we're bringing to this event. *sigh*
On the plus side, my best friend/sister made us a fantastic dinner tonight of rosemary chicken in white wine with roasted new potatoes, spinach & a salad that wasn't entirely out of a bag. Such meals require too much time & thought when dealing with an almost-6 month old at the same time, our house isn't likely to see anything this fancy again in a loooong time.
