I have been far more concerned about my term paper, worth a quarter of my grade, than my final over the past week. The concern was over the fact that it just wasn't going anywhere, but that was because I was trying to approach it from a normal and reasonable thought of writing it on weekend afternoons while Kieran was having a nap or outside playing with his dad.

Nope. For whatever reason, I can only write by getting up by 5am at the latest and listening to the cats fight as the rest of the house sleeps on until 6am, and then in the rushed 20 minutes between when Kieran goes down for his nap and I have to go to work. This results in me prepping stuff for dinner in a minute, and not enough time for me to make a sandwich for lunch. Last night for dinner we had grilled wild sockeye with cajun seasoning, salad & homemade bread timed to be done when I got home from work. My lunch was the two tortillas, yogurt & a Diet Dr. Pepper I could easily grab and run out the door with.

Ah well, at least my paper is done to hand in tonight. I'm employed. Claritin continues to keep allergies down to a dull roar. Kieran just woke up and is reciting the alphabet over the baby monitor. Life is good.

Hello, i've just joined the LJ community - after a bit of a shaky start - ie. not knowing that I had to join or befriend or whatever and I came across your page (?). I wasn't sure about how or why you were connected to the Sarcoidosis site, so did a little bit of reading up!

Good luck with the term paper.

I have sarcoid, diagnosed in 1998, tho not offered any treatment - inhalers not going to improve situation. I also have breast cancer (diagnosed 1995) which has spread to my bones now and I've to go in tomorrow (Friday) to get results of bone marrow tests done last week. My sarcoid problem, apart from affecting my lungs - d'oh - has given me problems with my eyes. Really affected my vision. Just wondered if anyone you know has had eye problems through sarcoid.

I've been truly amazed by your courage and your cheerfulness which has come through on your journal. I have really enjoyed reading what you have written, the good and the not so good.

I did my first posting to breast cancer and sarcoid community. Got replies from breast cancer but none from sarcoid. Suppose it's cos it's not really mainstream. After all, as my doctor said, "it's supposed go away by itself". Yeah, right. I am on 15m prednisolone daily as well as strong painkillers for bone pain etc., but at least I'm now eating proper food and have gained weight. Mind you, your dinner sounded so wonderful - the grilled sockeye with salad and homemade bread - i'm sitting here at the keyboard almost drooling!!

Regards

Ordinary People :)

Hi, I well remember the time to play with my son. I some really embarrassing photos and videos of me doing just that about 20 years ago :)
Thanks for the info, I'll check it out. I also have the erythema nodosum, although it appears to be lessened at present. I currently have nasty horrible bruises on my left shin (why the left? I know not). I'm also on bone-strenthening injections monthly - but with the sarcoid, you've got to watch the calcium! Feel it's a bit of a catch 22 situation at the moment.
Going to see Eye Consultant tomorrow as well as Oncologist (2 different hospitals, appointments 90 minutes apart), so will update my journal tomorrow night.

Thanks for your reply.
